The Brown County Library introduces Reflections: Local Art at Your Library, to further the impact artists make in our community.
The library has been showcasing the artwork of local creatives for decades at the Central Library and has recently designated public art exhibit spaces at the Kress Family Branch in De Pere and the Weyers-Hilliard Branch in Howard.
Local art in the library enhances the patron experience and offers a venue for artists to show and sell their work. These art exhibits offer an opportunity to see the world through someone else’s lens; promote diversity of thought; and aid in a growing sense of community.
How does it work?
— Artists may show their art at one of three sites (Central Library, Kress Family Branch, or Weyers-Hilliard Branch) one time per calendar year.
— Art exhibits run for approximately eight weeks.
— To be considered, please be prepared to display a minimum of ten pieces. If you don’t have enough to show on your own, small groups may exhibit together. All pieces need to be two-dimensional, ready-to-hang, and suitable for viewing by all ages.
Interested? Fill out and submit the Art Exhibit Application and a member of the Public Arts Team will contact you within three weeks with additional information.
